While countries, empires and world events have come and gone, the Horse & Jockey, of all the pubs in Lanark, has remained a place where locals and visitors alike have relaxed in the convivial atmosphere and shared their views; and you can still do that to this day – or simply unwind, glass in hand, and watch the world go by.

Known for its friendly atmosphere, the Horse & Jockey has become the favoured "local" haunt for many who enjoy a good night out in Lanark. Often you'll be in for a treat, as it's a favourite with local musicians who will entertain you with an impromptu concert.
